Remote Mentoring is a unique program designed to provide a mechanism for students to learn real life technical problem solving, project delivery concepts and communication skills. This program simulates remote project management and delivery environment. Students work with their Faculty Mentor and consult with designated OTS Mentors (experts) on their project. Students deliver the projects from on campus facilities. At the end of the mentoring period (2-3 months), certain projects would be selected as star projects. The students who worked in Star projects may be provided with an opportunity to present their work before a panel of senior OTS'ers. Faculty leading the Start projects would be given an award for their contribution. Faculty involvement is expected to trigger thought process around technology as well as project delivery leading to collaborative thought leadership and research in these areas. Projects focus on High Performance Computing, Information Management, Open Source, SOA Cells and Delivery related tools to name a few. OTS would be launching programs for business, services and other areas of interest.
